Blue Ridge Rock Festival and Virginia International Raceway announced the cancellation of the 2024 festival on May 10.

A news release said that their primary focus remains resolving the insurance claim and addressing the aftermath of the 2023 weather-related cancellation.

After extensive deliberation and discussions, both parties have mutually agreed that hosting the festival this year is not feasible due to ongoing issues stemming from the previous year, the release said.

Organizers said all purchases made for the 2024 festival will be fully refunded.

Clarifying misconceptions, it’s emphasized that tickets for the 2024 event were put on sale during the start of the 2023 festival, not recently, according to organizers.

Funds generated from 2024 ticket sales have been held in escrow, and efforts are underway to facilitate refunds in collaboration with the merchant processing company.

Affected patrons are asked to monitor their email for forthcoming information regarding the refund process for the 2024 festival.

While the Blue Ridge Rock Festival will not proceed this year, organizers express anticipation for unveiling future plans next year.
