A Bassett man was arrested after a drug bust in Henry County.

The Sheriff’s Office conducted the search warrant on Thursday in the 400 block Fairmont Drive in Bassett.

During the operation, deputies say they confiscated a quantity of suspected meth, illegally possessed prescription pills, and money.

The suspected narcotics will undergo analysis at the Virginia Department of Forensic Science, according to authorities.

As a result of the investigation, Jason Wayne Greer, 45, residing at that address, was arrested and is currently detained at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.

Greer faces charges of possession of schedule I or II drug with the intent to distribute (meth).
