MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Romero Report) — On May 16, Martinsville City Public Schools celebrated one of its most time-honored traditions: the Big M Luncheon.

This event honors senior Big M Trophy winners, students graduating with a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or higher, by giving them the opportunity to recognize the teacher who has had the most significant impact on them during their time in school.

During an emotional ceremony, each student stood before friends and family to honor their most influential teacher, presenting them with a special trophy as a token of their love and appreciation.
