MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Romero Report) — A man has been arrested and another is wanted after a Martinsville sports bar shooting.

24-year-old Rosario Nasiar Eggleston, of Martinsville, has been arrested in connection with the shooting in the parking lot of Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill.

Eggleston faces the following charges:

  • Malicious wounding
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
  • Willfully discharging a firearm in a public place
  • Possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon
  • Possession of ammunition by a violent convicted felon
  • Three counts of destruction of property

On May 17, at around 11:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the sports bar on Spruce Street for a shooting.

Police said the victim, a 20-year-old Martinsville man, was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.

Officers said they collected evidence, interviewed witnesses, and obtained surveillance videos during their investigation.

This led to warrants being issued on two men, including Eggleston.

The second person, 24-year-old Jalen Davon Pritchett, has yet to be arrested.

Pritchett is wanted on the following charges:

  • Malicious wounding
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
  • Willfully discharging a firearm in a public place
  • Possession of a firearm after an assault and battery of a family member
  • Carrying a concealed weapon second offense
  • Possession of a firearm under a protective order
  • Three counts of destruction of property

The investigation is ongoing.

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Romero Report) — A man was shot in the parking lot of a restaurant in Martinsville on May 17

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill on Spruce Street.

The man sustained a non-life-threatening injury to his leg and was was taken to the hospital, Martinsville Chief of Police Rob Fincher told the Romero Report.

Chief Fincher said while no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, authorities did make an arrest for an unrelated matter.

The investigation is ongoing.
