MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Romero Report) — VF Corporation has confirmed to the Romero Report the closure of its Martinsville distribution center.
VDC Director of External Communications Ashley McCormack said in a May 21 statement this is part of the company’s reinvent strategy, aimed at improving operational efficiencies and reducing real estate costs.
The facility will continue operations until March 2025.
McCormack said the decision to close the Martinsville center was made after evaluating shipping methods to better meet customer needs.
She emphasized that the primary focus during this transition will be on supporting their associates.
“The entire VF organization extends its deepest gratitude and appreciation to our teammates who work within the facility for their steadfast dedication and commitment for over the last two decades,” McCormack said.
She said the closure is expected to consolidate VF’s operations, delivering greater efficiency across the organization.
