
UPDATE | The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office reported at 5:16 p.m. on June 2 that Dakota Lee Hanks has been found and is safe.
ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (Romero Report) — The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a runaway juvenile, Dakota Lee Hanks.
Hanks, 15, was last seen at approximately 11 p.m. on June 1 in the 7300 block of N.C. 65 in Summerfield, according to authorities.
He is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 110 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes.
Hanks was last seen wearing orange shorts and a gray t-shirt.
During the night, he left the residence on foot, and his current whereabouts are unknown, the sheriff’s office said.
