HENRY COUNTY, Va. (Romero Report) — Two men are facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Henry County on June 4.

Sheriff Wayne Davis said his deputies conducted the stop near the 1800 block of Virginia Avenue in Collinsville and a K9 alerted to narcotics inside the vehicle.

During a search, deputies found pre-packaged bags of meth and fentanyl, along with multiple items indicating narcotics distribution, according to Sheriff Davis.

The passenger, Justin Mitchell Harris, 31, of Ridgeway, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule I or II drug with intent to distribute (meth) and possession of a schedule I or II drug with intent to distribute (fentanyl).

Harris, currently on probation for narcotics distribution and released from the Department of Corrections in April, is being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.

The driver, Zachary Edward Hager, 38, of Martinsville, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule I or II drug (meth) and possession of a schedule I or II drug (fentanyl).

Hager, also on probation for fentanyl possession, is held on a $5,000 secured bond at the adult detention center.

“The Henry County Sheriff’s will continue to proactively pursue drug dealers to keep our community safe,” Davis said.

Anyone with information about narcotic operations is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 276-638-8751 or Crimestoppers at 276-632-7463.
