
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (Romero Report) — A 42-year-old Ridgeway man is behind bars for stealing two cars in Collinsville on June 14.
Authorities got a call around 9 a.m. about a 2012 blue Subaru Abreeza being stolen from the Family Dollar on Virginia Avenue in Collinsville.
The owner saw the theft and described the suspect as a Black man wearing grey shorts and a blue shirt, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Another car, a white 2010 Toyota Prius, was reported stolen from Printers Lane at 9:18 a.m.
The owner saw a Black male in grey shorts, this time without a shirt, stealing his car.
By 9:44 a.m., deputies found the stolen Subaru at the Collinsville Library on Virginia Avenue.
While deputies were recovering it, a worker at Auto Tech on Virginia Avenue reported that a Black male in grey shorts had parked a white Toyota Prius there and ran across the street toward the Econo Lodge, also on Virginia Avenue.
Deputies say they found the stolen Toyota at Auto Tech and the suspect, Deangelo Tywan Waller, hiding in a restricted area of the motel.
Waller was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with two counts of felony grand larceny and is currently held without bail at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.
