HENRY COUNTY, Va. (Romero Report) — Pre-registration for the 2024 Back2School outreach event is now open, allowing families to save time by registering online before attending in-person events for shoe fittings.
The purpose of Back2School is to demonstrate God’s love by helping students prepare for a successful school year.
To register for the event on Saturday, August 3, students must be present to sign up on Saturday, July 13 or Tuesday, July 23.
Students will receive new shoes and socks as volunteers wash their feet and discuss their dreams.
Each student will also be given a new backpack filled with school supplies.
The event welcomes all students from pre-k to 12th grade.
Celebrating its 18th year, the event, which was started by The Community Fellowship, has served more than 38,000 students across southern Virginia and other states.
