PATRICK COUNTY, Va. (Romero Report) — Patrick County Parks & Recreation and Patrick County Tourism have partnered to launch “Movies in the Park.”

The series will continue this Saturday, June 22, at IC DeHart Memorial Park in Woolwine with a showing of “Elemental.”

These free, family-friendly movie nights aim to foster community fellowship and encourage exploration of the county’s parks.

The events offer free admission and concessions.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for a comfortable outdoor movie experience.

The movie showings will begin after dark around 8:30 p.m.

The upcoming schedule for “Movies in the Park” includes:

  • Saturday, July 20 at Dan River Park in Ararat: Kung Fu Panda 4
  • Saturday, August 24 at Mountain Top Recreation Park in Meadows of Dan: The Croods: A New Age
  • Saturday, September 21 at Patrick Springs Park: The Nightmare Before Christmas
