BLAIRS, Va. (Romero Report) — A fiery crash with entrapment led to the complete shutdown of Highway 29 in the Blairs community of Pittsylvania County.

The incident occurred on June 25 in the 7100 block of Highway 29 near Blairs Fire & Rescue.

Emergency responders from Blairs Fire & Rescue, Pittsylvania County Public Safety, and Mt. Hermon Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.

Video footage shows a medical helicopter landing on the highway to assist with the emergency.

As of now, there is no word on injuries or further details regarding the incident.
