
BLAIRS, Va. (Romero Report) — Two people were injured with one person being flown out after a dyer fire in Blairs.
Crews responded to the fire in the 900 block of Pritchett Lane on June 29.
Upon arrival, units found a single-family home with smoke and flames visible from the basement, first floor, and attic.
Two attack lines were placed in service, and the fire was extinguished.
The occupants had left the residence before the fire department arrived, but two individuals were injured, according to officials.

One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, while the other was airlifted in serious condition, officials said.
Crews operated on the scene for about two hours.
Blairs Fire and Rescue responded with two engines, a ladder, two ambulances, and two support vehicles.
Additional apparatus and manpower were provided by Mt. Hermon Fire and Rescue, Ringgold Fire and Rescue, Keeling Volunteer Fire Department, Kentuck Volunteer Fire Department, Dry Fork Volunteer Fire Department, Laurel Grove Fire and Rescue, and Pittsylvania County Public Safety.
