MADISON, N.C. (Romero Report) — A day at Madison River Park turned into a life-saving event when a rescue technician responded to a call for help on July 7.
Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad Rescue Technician Ryan Clark was enjoying the river with his family when he heard screams for help.
Upon reaching the scene, Rescue Technician Clark found an unresponsive victim floating in the water.
Clark swam to the individual, successfully pulled them to shore and he then began administering CPR, the rescue squad said in a Facebook post.

His CPR efforts revived the victim before other rescue units arrived on the scene.
The patient was transported to a local hospital by EMS units.
The post expressed gratitude to all agencies involved in the successful rescue operation.
The rescue squad said no further information about the patient will be released.
