BASSETT, Va. (Romero Report) — The community is invited to honor the memory of Brenda Riggins by donating blood at the semiannual memorial blood drive. 

The event will be held on Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and it has moved to a new location this year, the Bassett High School Auditorium, 85 Riverside Drive.

Blood donations are vital for patients in various situations, including children with rare blood disorders, cancer patients, and accident victims. 

By donating, participants can make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.

Donors can save up to 15 minutes by completing their pre-donation reading and health history questions by entering the code “Brenda” here.

As an added incentive, all donors in July will receive a Fandango movie ticket via email to see “Twisters” and an American Red Cross umbrella, available while supplies last from July 1-14.
