FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Make plans now to attend the 2024 Franklin County Agricultural Fair from August 14-17.

The agricultural fair will be held at the Franklin County Recreation Park, 2150 Sontag Road, Rocky Mount, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on August 14-16 and from Noon to 10 p.m. on August 17.

“The 2023 Franklin County Agricultural Fair was an authentic showcase of Franklin County,” said Kevin Tosh, Director of Tourism and Marketing. “From the sights and sounds, to the tastes and experiences, the fair was an opportunity to fellowship with old friends, meet new ones and make memories to cherish for a lifetime.”

Fair organizers promises a vibrant blend of tradition, fun, and discovery.

Attendees can look forward to tractor competitions, midway rides, music concerts, live entertainment, competitive and educational exhibits, demonstrations, animal shows, a petting zoo, a fair pageant, contests, games, and a variety of food options.

For the safety of guests and animals, no dogs or pets of any kind will be permitted at the fair, organizers said.
