FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (Romero Report) — Authorities in Franklin County need the public’s help in locating a runaway juvenile, Yiny Elizabeth Avila-Rapalo, who was reported missing on June 24.

Avila-Rapalo, 16, was last seen leaving Green Level Road in Franklin County on June 24 with another female juvenile, who has since been located safely, the sheriff’s office said in a July 17 Facebook post.

Authorities suspect she may be in another state with family, but local law enforcement has yet to confirm her whereabouts in person.

Avila-Rapalo is described as 5’2″ tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair with a distinctive tattoo on her right wrist.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 540-483-3000.
