PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (Romero Report) — A single-vehicle crash on July 17 resulted in the death of a 75-year-old man on Franklin Turnpike near Callands Road in Pittsylvania County.

The incident occurred at around 12:50 p.m. when a 2003 Toyota Tundra, going south on Franklin Turnpike, ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and overturned, police said.

The driver, Joseph Patrick Miheve of Chatham, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to authorities.

Miheve was transported to SOVAH Health in Danville, where he later died.

The crash is still under investigation.
