ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C (rbs news now) — Rockingham County has announced the appointment of Mandy McGhee as its new Finance Director, effective August 19.

McGhee, who brings a decade of experience in local government, most recently held leadership roles as assistant director of finance and director of finance for the City of Martinsville in Virginia.

In her previous positions, she provided budget and financial advice to the city manager and city council, led the development of the city’s annual operating and capital budgets, and managed the accounting, risk management, and purchasing divisions, a news release said.

“It is an honor to step into the role of finance director for Rockingham County government,” McGhee stated. “I am committed to ensuring financial stability, promoting transparency, and driving sustainable growth for our community. By working together, we will build a future grounded in sound financial practices and innovative strategies that serve the best interests of all our residents.”
