MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — Piedmont Arts’ annual fundraiser, Savory September, returns this year with a twist.

Set for September 13, at 6:30 p.m., the event, titled “Fortune + Flavor: Friday the 13!,” will feature a night of themed small bites, craft cocktails, live music, games, raffles, and tarot readings.

Guests are invited to dress in all black or all white for this evening of fun and entertainment.

All-inclusive tickets are $50 and can be purchased on the Piedmont Arts website or by calling the museum.

In addition to food and entertainment, the event will feature a unique 50/37/13 raffle.

Raffle tickets are $20 each, or a book of five can be purchased for $100.

On the night of the event, two winners will be chosen—one will receive 37% of the money earned from ticket sales, while the other will take home 13%.

The remaining 50% will support Piedmont Arts’ arts education and programming in Martinsville and Henry County.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience tarot readings by the museum’s Programs Coordinator, Lauren Ellis, who has over ten years of experience reading tarot cards, according to a news release.

For $5, guests can receive a one-card draw for an overview of a question, or for $20, a three-card past, present, future spread.

Live music for the evening will be provided by Jake Earles, a singer-songwriter from Axton.

With a background of 20 years in Nashville, where he played at venues ranging from honky-tonks to the Grand Ole Opry, Earles brings a blend of country, Americana, folk, and soul to the stage, the release said.
