
PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — The Danville-Pittsylvania County Fair is set to return this September for its 33rd year.
The fair will be bringing nine days of entertainment, rides, and special events to the region.
It will kick off on Friday, September 13, and run through Saturday, September 21, at the Danville-Pittsylvania County Fairgrounds located at 1861 Milton Highway in Ringgold.
The fair will offer a variety of attractions, including the Magic of Lance Gifford and the Flying Cortes Trapeze Spectacular, both of which will perform daily.
Highlights of the event include Figure 8 Racing on opening night, two demolition derbies, and a professional bull riding show on the final Saturday.
Ticket prices vary by day, with adult admission ranging from $3 to $7 and child admission from $1.50 to $3.
Special wristbands for unlimited rides will also be available, with prices ranging from $20 to $30 depending on the day.
Special promotions include an opening night special with $25 all-day wristbands, school night with half-priced admission on Monday, and senior citizen night offering free admission for ages 65 and over on Tuesday.
The fairgrounds will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, 1 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
