
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Henry County man was arrested after authorities conducted a search warrant on August 20.
The warrant was executed by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at a residence on Jappa Road in Ridgeway.
William Jackson Kennedy, 44, who was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants from several law enforcement agencies, was found hiding beneath the mobile home.
Sheriff Wayne Davis said his deputies discovered Kennedy had created a trap door underneath the mobile home for concealment.
He was apprehended without incident and is currently being held without bond at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center.
Kennedy faces charges from multiple agencies.
Henry County Sheriff’s Office:
- Probation violation (Petit larceny 3rd/subsequent offense)
- Probation violation (Escape custody)
- Probation violation (Felony shoplifting)
- Probation violation (Felony elude police)
- Probation violation (Possession of ammunition by a felon)
- Probation violation (Breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny)
- Probation violation (Grand larceny)
Franklin County Sheriff’s Office:
- Probation violation (Possession with intent to distribute controlled substances)
- Possession with intent to distribute schedule I or II controlled substances
- Driving while license suspended
Martinsville Police Department:
- Two counts of probation violation
Virginia State Police:
- Felony hit and run
- Driving while license suspended
