EDEN, N.C. (rbs news now) — A Morehead High School teacher has been charged with two felonies related to misconduct involving at least one student.

The charges follow a report received on August 21 alleging inappropriate behavior by the school’s theatre teacher, 24-year-old Jesse Michael Morris.

After an investigation, Eden Police obtained warrants for Morris for one felony count of indecent liberties with a child and one felony count of taking indecent liberties with a student by a teacher.

    He was taken into custody and transported to the Rockingham County magistrate’s office, where he was issued a $75,000 secured bond.

    The investigation is ongoing, and police said no further details are being released due to the age of the victim.
