EDEN, N.C. (rbs new now) — The Eden Police Department has arrested Zachary Logan Baumann, 23, on sex charges reported on July 18.

The arrest was made after an investigation and consultation with the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office.

Baumann has been charged with one count of second-degree rape, a felony, and one count of sexual battery, a misdemeanor.

He was arrested without incident and transported to the Rockingham County magistrate’s office, where he was held without bond.

Baumann is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on September 10.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said no further details will be released.
