HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — The Henry County Fair is set to return to the Martinsville Speedway this year, running from September 25 to 28. 

Coinciding with the late model stock car race at the track, the fair promises to be a fun, family-friendly event with a variety of attractions, entertainment, and food for attendees to enjoy.

Food at the fair will be provided by Cole Rides, offering a variety of delicious options, including pizza, funnel cakes, burgers, cotton candy, frozen lemonade, hot dogs, and candy apples.

The fair officially opens its gates on Wednesday, September 25, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., featuring highlights such as the Pompeyo Family Amazing Dog Show, the Space Adventure Show, live music performances by Key West — a Jimmy Buffett tribute band — and more. 

On Thursday, September 26, the fair continues from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with additional performances including Jack & David Reid on the Bassett Furniture Stage, along with recurring shows and exhibits.

Friday, September 27, marks Spirit FM Night, with the fair open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

The evening will feature a concert by Christian music artist Jordan Feliz, as well as ongoing animal exhibits and agricultural competitions.

Saturday, September 28, will be a full day of activities, starting at noon and running until 11 p.m.

Miss Henry County Fair 2024 MaKayla Sprouse will be in attendance each day of the fair.

The day concludes with a fireworks display presented by the Campbell Family Foundation. 

Ahead of the fair, this year’s entry/Exhibitor Day is scheduled for Monday, September 23, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Martinsville Speedway, located at 340 Speedway Drive in Ridgeway. 

This day is designated for participants to register their exhibits for the competitive agricultural displays.

All concerts and shows at the fair are included with the $5 gate pass admission.
