MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — New College Institute’s (NCI) King Hall Testing Center has been approved as an ETS Certified Test Administrator Services (CTAS) site.
This will allow the testing center, located at 30 Franklin Street in Martinsville, to offer the Praxis test among its many testing options.
“When I learned that Longwood at NCI students were driving long distances to complete their Praxis test, we immediately recognized it as a barrier to opportunity for our students and our community,” said NCI Executive Director Joe Sumner. “With the newly expanded capabilities of the King Hall Testing Center, NCI continues to strengthen the pipeline of current and future educators for our community.”
The testing schedule begins on September 10 and the test will be available on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., Thursdays at 1 p.m., and the second Saturday of each month at 10 a.m.

NCI says it plans to expand the testing schedule next year.
The testing center also offers proctored, monitored, and secured tests for Pearson Vue and CLEP, according to a news release.
Private testing and accommodations are available upon request.
