MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — Connect Health + Wellness announced the addition of Dr. Sierra Suarez Friend and Dr. Sukhi Randhawa to its dental team on September 3.

Both recently graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) School of Dentistry with a doctor of dental surgery degree.

Dr. Friend, a third-generation dentist, graduated at the top of her class this year and also holds dual bachelor of science degrees in biochemistry and applied economic management from Virginia Tech.

Dr. Friend says she is passionate about dentistry and enjoys cooking, eating, and hiking in her free time.

Dr. Randhawa also earned a bachelor of science in biochemistry and a bachelor of arts in chemistry from Virginia Tech.

Outside the clinic, he says he enjoys going to the gym, reading, and traveling.

Both completed rotations at Connect Health + Wellness during their time at VCU.

They will be working at the Martinsville and the Patrick Springs locations and participating in the mobile dental clinic program.

The new dentists will offer a range of services, including routine cleanings and exams, fillings, root canals, extractions, and more.

Connect Health + Wellness primarily serves uninsured patients and those with Medicaid, operating on a sliding fee discount program.

The clinic is currently welcoming new patients of all ages.
