ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (rbs news now) — A Reidsville man has been charged in connection to an arson on August 23.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fire on Trantham Road in Reidsville after a reported disturbance at the location at around 8 p.m.

After an investigation conducted in collaboration with the Rockingham County Fire Marshal’s Office and Safe Labs Forensic Laboratory Services, the fire was determined to be arson.

42-year-old Jonas Allen Strickland, a resident of that address, was charged with second-degree arson.

Strickland was arrested and is currently being held at the Rockingham County Detention Facility under no bond.
