HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Authorities are investigating potential threats made against local schools on September 12.
Martinsville City Public Schools’ Communications and Community Outreach Coordinator, Callie Hietala, said, “We are currently still investigating, but at this time, we have found nothing to suggest that this is a credible threat.”
Henry County Sheriff Wayne Davis confirmed his office is investigating a threat that circulated via social media.

“This threat isn’t specific to any school,” Sheriff Davis told rbs news now. “In fact, it’s not even know if it’s any Henry County school. We do take these types of threats seriously and will work throughout the day to ensure the safety of the students and investigate the origin of the online post.”
Henry County Public Schools has not yet responded to requests for comment.
