
PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A confirmed tornado has touched down in the Dry Fork community of Pittsylvania County.
It happened September 27 near the intersection of Dry Fork Road and W.I. Powell Road.
Public safety officials are currently on the scene, urging residents to avoid the area.
The tornado was reported as Danville and Pittsylvania County remain under a tornado watch until 6:00 p.m.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and responding to any incidents caused by the storm.
