HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Henry County is inviting residents to help shape its future by contributing input to an update of the county’s Comprehensive Plan.

This long-term plan will provide a roadmap for the next 10 to 20 years, outlining goals and strategies in areas such as land use, economic development, transportation, and community facilities.

The planning process will combine community feedback through surveys and workshops beginning this month.

A community survey, available online and in paper form at various county locations, will run until December 1.

Public workshops are scheduled on October 22 at Bassett High School, October 30 at the Horsepasture Ruritan Club, and November 21 at the Galilean House of Worship, all from 6-7:30 p.m.

“This comprehensive plan will shape our county’s future and by taking part in this community survey, our residents will have the opportunity to guide those decisions,” said Lee Clark, Director of Planning, Zoning, and Inspections for the county. “Together, we will create a vision that reflects our values and meets the needs of all.”
