
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Patrick & Henry Community College’s Foundation Board of Directors welcomed three new members during its fall meeting.
Jason Davis, Jaime Miller, and Jackie Thornton will each serve a three-year term.
Jason Davis, Managing Director of Blue Ridge Regional Airport and President of the Martinsville Mustangs, brings his background as a Navy veteran and commercial pilot to the board.
A news release said he is actively involved in the community through various roles, including with the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber’s Partnership for Economic Growth and the West Piedmont Workforce Investment Board.
Jaime Miller, HR Generalist at Press Glass, Inc., serves as chapter president of the Blue Ridge Human Resource Association and participates in multiple local committees, including the ARC Advisory Committee and the Commuter Assistant Program Strategic Plan Steering Committee.
Jackie Thornton, a graduate and “Distinguished Alumni” awardee of Patrick & Henry Community College, is retired from corporate human resources and is actively involved in community service.
She volunteers at Piedmont Arts, leads the Grief Chat Group at King’s Grant, and serves on various boards, including Theatre Works Community Players.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jason, Jaime and Jackie to our board of directors,” stated Tiffani Underwood, Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the P&HCC Foundation. “Their expertise will be instrumental in forging new opportunities to support our mission. We look forward to working together to make a lasting impact on our community.”
