MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — Christmas Cheer will start accepting applications for holiday assistance on October 28, through November 22.
The office will be located in the Patrick Henry Mall, near the Wild Magnolia Restaurant, at Suite 7.
Accessible from the left side of the restaurant, the office is in a convenient location for those requiring handicap parking.
The office will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Only residents of Martinsville and Henry County are eligible to apply for the program and must provide proof of residence and a photo ID.
Applications must be completed in person and should include the names and birth dates of all household members.
Christmas Cheer has been serving the community since 1951, offering assistance to local families during the holiday season.
Donations to support the program can be mailed to P.O. Box 540, Martinsville, VA 24114, or dropped off at the cheer office.
