HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre – Tract 2 in Henry County has earned a platinum designation in the first round of REDI Sites.

The REDI Sites program is the first-ever national site readiness program and was launched this year.

The program standardizes site assessments across municipalities and states, providing site selection consultants with a streamlined, exclusive database of project-ready locations, a news release said.

Each designated site undergoes a comprehensive review by the Site Selectors Guild, an organization of leading site selection professionals, assessing factors such as infrastructure capacity, ease of development, ownership, and entitlements.

“Project-ready sites are the linchpin of the speed-to-market that every company needs,” said Didi Caldwell, Chair of REDI Sites and President and CEO of Global Location Strategies. “The six designated sites are stellar examples of strategic investment in economic development preparedness, and I am proud that REDI Sites can help advance them on their goal of attracting jobs and investment into their communities.”

Commonwealth Crossing is among six locations nationwide awarded a designation and is the only Virginia site to achieve platinum status, the highest available rating.
