HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Henry County deputies arrested a wanted man after a stand-off on October 23.
Deputies got information at around 11:30 a.m. regarding the whereabouts of Ronald Dave Robinette III, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Robinette was reported to be at his residence located in the 1300 block of Log Manor Road in Spencer.
Upon arrival, deputies said they tried to convince Robinette to surrender peacefully but they were unsuccessful after an extended period.
Deputies then obtained a search warrant and entered the residence, locating Robinette hiding in a small enclosed space beneath the stairs.
He was taken into custody without further incident.

During the search of the residence, authorities said they found items consistent with the possession of narcotics, which lead to a second search warrant.
This additional search uncovered a small quantity of suspected meth, digital scales, a cell phone, and two illegally possessed firearms.
All evidence has been secured and will be sent to a regional lab for testing.
Robinette was arrested and charged with contempt of court.
He is being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
