DANVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — The suspect of a fatal shooting at a Danville restaurant that occurred on November 9 is now in custody.

Khaleel Latwain Rodgers, Jr., 28, turned himself in on November 10.

Rodgers is charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm.

He is being held in the city under no bond.

This incident remains under investigation.


ORIGINAL STORY — November 9

DANVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — A shooting at a Danville restaurant left one man dead and two others injured on November 9.

The incident happened at Ten 10 Restaurant and Lounge on Piney Forest Road at around 2:30 a.m.

Officers said they found Damion Quayshaud Reed, 33, with a gunshot wound to his upper body at the scene.

Reed was transported from the scene but was later pronounced dead.

A security guard, 50, was also found on-site with a gunshot wound to his leg, according to police.

A third man, 37, arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm, having been transported by private vehicle.

Khaleel Latwain Rodgers, Jr., 28, is wanted on charges of second degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm.

Rodgers is considered armed and dangerous.

The Danville Police Department is seeking information related to the incident.
