FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Franklin County high school teacher has been arrested and charged in connection with sexual acts involving a student.

Artem Robert Moyer, 30, of Rocky Mount, was taken into custody on November 14.

Moyer faces one felony count of indecent liberties with a child by a custodian and one felony count of object sexual penetration.

Moyer is being held without bond as court proceedings are pending.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has not released further details about the case.

The investigation is ongoing.
