ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (rbs news now) — The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office has charged Justin Gray Jackson, 38, of NC Highway 65 in Summerfield, with statutory rape of a child under the age of 15.

The charge comes from an investigation conducted by the criminal investigations division, which included the use of DNA evidence.

Jackson, who is currently incarcerated at the Stokes County Jail on unrelated charges, was served with the new charge by the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office.

He was issued an additional $500,000 secured bond.

Authorities said no other details about the minor victim would be released.

The investigation is ongoing.
