MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — The Fuller Center for Housing of Martinsville-Henry County has announced the appointment of Martinsville native Beth Stinnett as its new executive director.

Stinnett, who holds a degree in human services, brings over 20 years of office and interpersonal experience to the organization.

Her passion for helping others aligns with the Fuller Center’s mission of providing a hand-up to families in need by building and repairing homes, a news release said.

The center operates in more than 70 U.S. communities and over 20 countries worldwide.

The release said homeowners partner in the building process, contributing “sweat equity” alongside volunteers and repaying material costs through interest-free, affordable terms.

These repayments remain within the local community to fund future housing projects.

The organization relies on donations from individuals, businesses, and churches to make homeownership a reality for families.

Community members can support this mission by sending monetary donations to 932 Starling Avenue, Martinsville, VA 24112.

For more information or to get involved, contact Stinnett at 276-638-6484 or click here.
