
MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — The Make Some Noise: Open Mic Series is set to return to Piedmont Arts at 7 p.m. on January 9.
The event offers a platform for poets, comedians, and songwriters to showcase their talents.
Taye the Truth, a lyricist from Roanoke known for his uplifting and relatable spoken word performances, will serve as the evening’s guest emcee, a news release said.
The event aims to celebrate the unique voices and perspectives of the Martinsville-Henry County community.
Open mic nights are free for both performers and the audience.
Participants can sign up for five-minute slots upon arrival.
Beverages will be available for purchase.
The series will continue on April 10, with Anna Wheeler as the guest emcee.
