MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — The Chamber’s Partnership for Economic Growth (C-PEG) has opened the application process for the Spring 2025 round of StartUp Martinsville-Henry County.

StartUp MHC is an eight-week boot camp for new businesses operating for two years or less.

The program provides entrepreneurs with training, resources, and funding opportunities to help their businesses grow.

Applications are due by noon on January 9 and must adhere to program guidelines.

Thanks to additional funding from the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission, businesses in sectors such as agribusiness, technology, small-scale production, manufacturing, and healthcare can receive matching funds through the program.

The Community Investment Collaborative has also donated funds to support incentive awards for participants.

Since its inception, the program has graduated 349 individuals and awarded over $693,720 in cash and in-kind funding to 96 businesses, according to a news release.

The program is delivered in partnership with Patrick & Henry Community College, Longwood University’s Small Business Development Center, and local business leaders.
