HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Henry County man was arrested on December 30 after a brief vehicle pursuit and drug bust.

Anthony Lee Coverdale was taken into custody following the pursuit that ended on South Creek Court in Collinsville.

Coverdale, who was already wanted on three felony probation violation charges, now faces additional charges after deputies found about 308 grams of meth, a firearm with an obliterated serial number, and about $5,000 in cash in his possession.

Coverdale, who was on probation for previous drug and firearm offenses, has been charged with:

• Three counts of probation violation

• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

• Possession with intent to distribute meth

• Possession of a Schedule I/II drug while in possession of a firearm

• Possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number

• Carrying a concealed weapon

• Driving with a suspended license

• Failure to stop for police

He is being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.
