Several institutions and services in the region have announced closures for January 6, due to inclement weather.

The following facilities will be closed:

• Beaver Creek Reservoir
• Henry County Courthouse and Court Services: All court proceedings will be rescheduled. For questions, contact the court when it reopens.
• The Salvation Army of Martinsville
• Henry-Martinsville Department of Social Services
• The Community Fellowship Office, Clothes Closet, and Food Ministry
• Pittsylvania County Schools
• Franklin County Public Schools
• Patrick & Henry Community College
• New College Institute
• Grace Network of Martinsville & Henry County
• Danville Community College
• Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce
• All locations of the Blue Ridge Regional Library
• Franklin County administration offices and courthouse

Additionally, all Piedmont Community Services offices will delay opening until 12 p.m.

The Henry County administration building will open at 10 a.m.

The Henry County sheriff’s administrative offices will open at 10:30 a.m.

The Martinsville City municipal building will open at 12 p.m. All 9 a.m. circuit court cases will be rescheduled. Circuit Court will open at 2 p.m. for the cases previously scheduled, weather permitting.

All Connect Health + Wellness offices will open at 10 a.m. If you have an appointment scheduled for earlier than that time, their staff will reach out to you.
