HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Authorities arrested two men following a shooting incident on Fellowship Drive in Henry County.

Around 4 p.m. on January 8, deputies responded to reports of shots fired into a vehicle and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand.

Investigators identified the alleged shooter as Stacey Leon Moss, 57, of Fellowship Drive.

Moss went into his residence and refused to exit when law enforcement arrived.

After a period of negotiation, Moss surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody without incident.

Moss faces multiple charges, including:

  • Malicious wounding (felony)
  • Shooting into an occupied motor vehicle (2 counts) (felony)
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (felony)
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (felony)
  • Reckless handling of a firearm (misdemeanor)
  • Discharging a firearm in a public place (misdemeanor)

While processing the scene, deputies arrested a second man, Zanthus Gerando Hairston, 46, of Fellowship Drive, on unrelated charges.

Hairston was charged with a felony probation violation.

Both men are being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with additional information about the incident to call 276-638-8751 or submit an anonymous tip through Crimestoppers at 276-632-7463.

Crimestoppers offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information leading to arrests.
