
EDEN, N.C. (rbs news now) — A woman has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian seriously injured in Eden.
At around 12:20 a.m. on February 4, police responded to an accident involving a pedestrian on South Van Buren Road, just south of South Park Terrace.
According to the preliminary investigation, a vehicle going south on South Van Buren Road struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.
The pedestrian was transported by Rockingham County EMS to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro for treatment of serious injuries.
Authorities obtained warrants for 32-year-old Courtney Deshae Robertson of Danville, Virginia, on a charge of felony hit-and-run causing serious injury.
On February 6, Robertson turned herself in at the Eden Police Department.
She was transported to the Rockingham County Magistrates Office, where she was issued a $10,000 secured bond.
