FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Franklin County man has been arrested on multiple felony charges related to the possession and production of child pornography.

Authorities said they launched an investigation after receiving a tip regarding the alleged crimes.

Investigators obtained and executed search warrants, leading to the identification of Luis Alberto Ceron Romero, 43, as the suspect.

Following the investigation, Romero was charged with one felony count of possession of obscene material using minors and one felony count of producing or manufacturing child pornography.

He was taken into custody on February 7 and is currently being held without bond.

“The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office remains dedicated to protecting the safety of children in our community,” the department said in a Facebook post.
