HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Construction is underway for a new Sheetz convenience store and gas station in Henry County.
The store is going up at the intersection of Commonwealth Boulevard and Virginia Avenue and is scheduled to open in June.
“The Lester Group is proud to have worked closely with Sheetz to bring this project to fruition,” Andrew Palmer, Vice President of Lester Properties, said in a February 10 news release. “Our commitment to enhancing the local infrastructure and community amenities is reflected in this new development.”
The new Sheetz will feature six fuel pumps, for up to 12 vehicles at a time, along with a drive-thru service and both indoor and outdoor seating.
The project is expected to create numerous employment opportunities in the area.
