
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A traffic stop led to a police chase and a drug bust in Henry County on February 13.
At around 4 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Interdiction Unit tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.
The driver, Donavon Andreaus Nibblett, failed to comply, leading deputies on a three-mile vehicle pursuit that ended on Stockton Road.
Nibblett then fled on foot but was tracked by a Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources K-9 to a residence on Willow Court, where he was taken into custody.
During the investigation, deputies said they found meth in the vehicle, leading them to obtain a search warrant for a residence in the 2100 block of Mt. Olivet Road.
At around 8:15 p.m., the SWAT team executed the warrant, and deputies said they found a quantity of suspected heroin, multiple firearms, and ammunition.
Four other men were arrested in connection with the drug bust, some on outstanding warrants.
The men are:
- Nibblett, of Willow Court, Martinsville (No bond) charged with probation violation (Felony) – Henry County (4 counts), probation violation (Misdemeanor) – Henry County (1 count), and contempt of court – City of Martinsville
- Cameron Samuel Santillo, of Tanyard Road, Martinsville (No bond) charged with probation violation (Felony) – Henry County (5 counts), probation violation (Felony) – Patrick County (3 counts)
- Anthony Samuel Santillo, of Tanyard Road, Martinsville (No bond) charged with probation violation (Felony) – City of Martinsville
- Ronnie Lee Prillaman, of Mt. Olivet Road, Martinsville (No bond) charged with contempt of court
- James Anthony Wooten, of Mt. Olivet Road, Martinsville ($2,000 secured bond) charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
The Martinsville Police Department and Virginia State Police assisted.
Authorities say additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
