MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — A drug bust in Martinsville led to the seizure of 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, three firearms, and over $6,000 in cash following simultaneous raids on two locations.

On February 18, the Martinsville Police Department along with Virginia State Police, got search warrants for an apartment in the 1000 of Rives Road and a residence in 1700 block of Spruce Street Extension.

Investigators said they determined that individuals from both locations were working together in the illegal distribution of cocaine.

The Martinsville Police SWAT Team raided the Rives Road apartment while the Henry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team simultaneously executed the search at the Spruce Street Extension residence.

As a result of the operation, authorities arrested Samuel Keister Hairston, 37, of Spruce Street Extension.

He is charged with:

  • Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (2nd offense)
  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of illegal narcotics
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

An arrest warrant has been issued for Christopher Orlando Martin, 35, of Rives Road, for possession with intent to distribute cocaine (3rd offense).

Authorities are actively searching for Martin.
