HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — The Miss Henry County Fair Pageant is set for May 31 with a scholarship and a statewide opportunity awaiting the next winner.

The pageant is set to take place at the Henry County Recreation Center, located at 395 John Redd Boulevard in Collinsville.

Hosted by Henry County Parks and Recreation, the event will feature contestants from across the region, with surrounding counties invited to participate if their county does not host its own fair pageant.

However, contestants in the “Miss” category—ages 17 to 22—must reside in Henry County or the City of Martinsville.

The winner of the Miss division will receive a $500 scholarship and represent Henry County at the Miss Virginia Association of Fairs Pageant in January 2026.

No prior pageant experience is required to participate.

The application deadline is May 23.

Categories include:

• Beautiful Baby (boys or girls): 0–12 months, 13–23 months – $40
• Wee Baby: 2–3 years – $65
• Little: 4–6 years – $65
• Young: 7–9 years – $65
• Pre-Teen: 10–12 years – $65
• Junior Miss: 13–16 years – $65
• Miss: 17–22 years – $100

In addition to age-group awards, special honors will be presented.

The Spirit of Miss Henry County Fair Pageant title will go to the contestant who donates the most canned food items for the local food bank.

The Miss Outgoing Personality title will be awarded to the contestant who raises the most sponsorship dollars, with prizes including a crown, sash, and trophy.
