MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a work van that crashed and was abandoned on March 17.

According to the Martinsville Police Department, workers from a painting company noticed that their Dodge work van was missing while on a job site.

The employees reported the situation to police.

The van was discovered overturned at the intersection of Pine Hall Road and Yorkshire Road.

Police say the driver had fled the scene, and no one was found inside the vehicle.

Authorities are seeking information from residents who may have witnessed the crash or seen the driver fleeing the area.
